MyMatR Joins Primordial
We’re excited to announce that MyMatR has joined this year’s cohort! Founded in Raleigh, MyMatR has developed the next generation of smart waste containers for public spaces, sorting waste at the source. You can read more about MyMatR at mymatrcorp.com.
From its start in January 2020, and after piloting early versions of MyMatR's automatic sorting waste containers in local high schools as well as NC State and Clemson University, their core product was officially launched in March of this year. MyMatR is committed to aiding organizations improve their recycling efficiency by sorting waste at the source with real time data collection. Early customers include municipal governments, universities, manufacturing facilities, and event spaces looking to meet their sustainability objectives and lower waste collection costs.
We first met the founder and CEO, John, in April and have been impressed by the progress he’s made manufacturing a physical product with a heavy technology component with a skeleton crew. MyMatR has already received local support from NC IDEA through their MICRO grant and RiOT’s Accelerator Program, and we think that they are a great fit for Primordial’s support at this stage. We believe our sales and marketing guidance will support John’s operational and manufacturing expertise as MyMatR continues to grow.
From John Starke, Founder and CEO of MyMatR:
“MyMatR is thrilled to be partnering with Primordial to start our first round of funding. This partnership with Primordial marks a pivotal moment in the growth of MyMatR, propelling us towards a brighter and more sustainable future.”
We’re excited to work with MyMatR as they continue to accelerate their sales and continue to develop their innovative product offering.
Onward!
