Mapt Joins Primordial

We’re excited to announce Mapt as the latest startup to join the Primordial community! Based at the American Underground in Durham, Mapt helps families find colleges, get accepted, and manage the entire admissions process. Learn more at mapt.co

Mapt co-founders Vera Qian, Henry Woodbridge, & Dan Gardner

Henry Woodbridge, a licensed college advisor himself, founded Mapt after identifying a gap in the ecosystem - affordable and high quality college planning is typically unavailable to low- and middle-income high school students. This group of students and their families could benefit from information, a guided plan, and advisors to assist in deciding which school is the best fit for each student. So in 2021, he began building a mobile app for families to guide them through the process. After assembling a team of cofounders and advisors, Mapt recently was accepted to Techstars Workforce Development Accelerator in Denver, CO.

We were introduced to Henry and Mapt over a year ago and have been impressed with their progress to date. They’ve iterated on their product offering to ensure a solution that works for both students and their parents and rebranded late last year to be more in line with their mission as a company. We believe they are poised for takeoff and we are looking forward to supporting them in their journey.

From Henry Woodbridge, co-founder and CEO:

"Jenn has believed in Mapt's vision to make college coaching accessible for all families since our founding. We're grateful for her conviction in us and to formally partner with the Primordial family. What the Primordial team has done for the Triangle ecosystem is inspiring and we look forward to growing our roots deeper in North Carolina with their support."

We’re looking forward to supporting the entire Mapt team as they continue to grow their user base and help more families navigate the college admissions process.

Onward!
