Primordial Doubles Down on Abra

We’re excited to share that we’ve made a follow-on investment in Abra, an AI Procurement platform that captures early buying signals and serves as a system of action for how companies engage with vendors. Learn more on their website.

Abra Team Members during a Company Offsite in Brazil

We first partnered with the Abra team early in their journey and have had a front-row seat to their rapid evolution. What started as a tool to capture and organize vendor conversations has grown into something much more powerful—a forward-looking system that gives teams real-time visibility into spend, risk, and opportunity across their organization.

From the beginning, we’ve been impressed by the founding team. Byron Revels, Matt Stewart, and Ben Rounds bring a rare combination of deep domain expertise across procurement, engineering, and product, along with a strong bias toward execution. They’ve consistently shown an ability to listen closely to customers, iterate quickly, and refine both product and positioning as they learn. Over the past several months, that execution has translated into meaningful momentum. Abra has sharpened its focus and is now engaging more deeply with enterprise customers, building a more repeatable sales motion and expanding into broader stakeholder groups across finance and security teams. At the same time, we’ve seen increasing inbound interest and stronger engagement from customers who are not only adopting the product quickly, but also advocating for it internally and externally.

What stands out most is how clearly Abra is solving a real and growing problem. Procurement today is fragmented, reactive, and often lacks visibility until decisions are already made. Abra flips that dynamic—bringing structure to unstructured vendor interactions and turning them into actionable insights before spend is committed. Their core innovation is enabling teams to move from hindsight to foresight, which has the potential to fundamentally change how organizations manage vendor relationships.

We’ve also been encouraged by the company’s trajectory. The team has expanded from early pilots into a growing base of recognizable customers, while simultaneously building a pipeline of larger enterprise opportunities. Abra is at an exciting inflection point, and our conviction in the team and their vision continues to grow. The combination of strong customer pull, accelerating enterprise momentum, and a product that is clearly resonating gives us confidence in what’s ahead. We’re thrilled to deepen our partnership and support Abra as they scale—there’s a real opportunity here to build a category-defining platform, and we’re proud to be on that journey together.

We’re excited to continue supporting Byron and the entire Abra team as they build, learn, and scale.

Onward!
