Local governments are facing growing pressure—staffing shortages, budget constraints, and high call volume are all straining their ability to provide timely and helpful service to constituents. CivicReach is stepping in with a solution designed specifically for this challenge - a conversational voice AI platform that acts as a virtual front desk for cities and towns across the country. The idea was sparked by Chip Kennedy, Founder and CEO, after experiencing firsthand the effectiveness of NYC311, New York City’s centralized non-emergency support line. Inspired by how tech-forward systems could transform the public service experience, he set out to bring that same level of quality and responsiveness to local governments nationwide.

Jenn first met Chip at Raleigh Founded Investor Office Hours back in June of 2023, when the idea of CivicReach was still in its infancy. Since then, we’ve been extremely impressed with the team Chip has assembled to tackle this enduring problem. They’re bringing elegantly simple solutions to a historically complex market. With strong early traction from forward-thinking municipalities and a growing pipeline, they’re well positioned to accelerate adoption of AI in the public sector.
