Founder and CEO Jeff Soplop has spent 20+ years in climate tech, and has been a uniquely impressive solo-founder. We’ve seen impressive growth in the months since our first investment, largely due to Jeff’s deep knowledge of the customer. He built an early partnership with Operations Hero to outsource some of his sales efforts, leading to early sales traction. After launching the MVP in August 2023, he now has 20 customers and over $200k in annual recurring revenue. Additionally, Jeff is a pleasure to work with and the type of strategic founder we love to have in our founder community. 

Joining us in this investment is Blueridge Climate Ventures. They invest in early-stage startups developing innovative climate technologies in North Carolina and the surrounding region. This is their first investment, and we’re excited to partner with them in supporting Jeff and the whole team at Nimble Energy. 

Primordial’s investment strategy (like with all great venture funds) is to reserve capital for follow-on investments in its most promising startups. We do this by periodically choosing to “double down” on earlier investments because of their progress. That’s the case with Nimble Energy, and we’re excited to continue to work with them and help them grow. 

With this investment, Nimble Energy has closed their pre-seed round! However, Primordial is always accepting new investors for our fund.
